Festivals & Flowers

Last week we had some messy fun at a Holi Festival nearby.  I could be wrong....but I believe it is derived from a holiday in India, where they welcome the coming of Spring with lots of colors thrown in the air.  Also, there was good Indian food, & music. My type of festival. Welcome Spring!

So I had mentioned before we might need to move, but I don't think I'll be packing our suitcases just yet.  It looks like my husband may have found a job here, & I'm glad for him.... I think he's so relieved. Although, a part of me is a little bummed, because I think I was kind of ready for the adventure of making a life somewhere else for us. Oh well, it must mean there is some unfinished stuff here that needs us.


I've been making some collages lately.  Drawing the girl's face, then coloring with watercolors. Adding paper, for hair & clothing.  Then putting them on wood.  Here are a few to show:

There is this field right by some medical offices near our place that I saw the other day, & did a double take.  I literally wanted to run skipping through all it's many flowers. Love it!
