Paper & Pencil

My daughter Sage & I were drawing today....& this is what I've come up with so far.  I'd like to make a little house/village scene....not sure if I'm really digging on this one or not.  The girl might go in the front or the back of the houses, & I may try to put her in a wood box. We'll see, stay tuned.

Easter Goings On

Easter Sunday here, made some eggs earlier, & decorated them.  Went to church, where the kids had a fun egg hunt. Home now, & my kids have been working on their little flower pot creations...originally I was going to have them plant live plants in them, but realized fake ones might have a better survival rate.

                                      Happy Easter!

I'm All Over The Place

Happy Good Friday & Earth Day to you!  They are all rolled into one this year.  We were busy, busy today...so the kids didn't get to do their usual Earth Day stuff.  But I got them some little terracotta pots to decorate & put a little plant in, & I am sticking them in their Easter baskets.

I have a few new art works to show, & I was thinking how it seems I really can't just stick to one thing & focus...ha ha, do I have A.D.D ?  Sometimes I'm into drawing, sometimes painting, other times photography, etc. etc. My brain seems to dart around a tad. Lately it's been working with clay....& I'd like to get better at sewing one of these days. So many interests so little time!  Anyway, here are a few things I was having fun making lately.

Photograph of 3 of my clay dolls.
Just For fun, I made a Nun.

Her name is Sister Laverne.
Self Portrait...I might do more work on it.  I drew the texture I layered over it.  I need a good title for it too, I'm thinkin' of a couple.

She's The Big 5 Now

I remember when I was young & I would hear older people say how fast life goes, & I would be like "yeah yeah", cause when you are young the years can seem excruciatingly long sometimes.  Now I have to say the years do fly by, & it doesn't seem like 5 years ago that our 2nd daughter India made her entrance into this world.

Yesterday was India's 5th birthday, & here is what we did...

We headed to the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles to see some really cool things.

Then we headed on to the Santa Monica area to hang out for awhile.

Happy Birthday to my Indy!

Afternoon Siesta

The dogs are spending their afternoon, getting some rest & relaxation.  Now I just wish Cody would follow suit!  He is a little ball of energy, that's showing no signs of winding down today.

Here are my 3 funny, furry little nuisances(sometimes)....Persimmon, Littlebear & Chewie.  They are cute, & I think that's why they can get away with a lot, with me.

Blah, blah, blah

Well Blog, I have nothing terribly exciting to share with you today.  Wish I did...oh well:)
Life has just been moving along here, & all is good.  Here are a few things we've been up to:

The kids with some of their cousins.  Darcy was visiting from Washington & my kids were excited to see her.

I was trying to be sneaky taking pictures in the Anthropologie store.  I love this bed!

                                                                           Love L.A.

Man, I need a tan!  Here we are at The Lab in Costa Mesa.

My new favorite eatery...Zipangu.

                                                       The kid's fort.

                                                             My crazy Sage.

Wren's Dreary Window

This is my latest creation, Wren.  She is in her little art box/home & looks out her window, only to see cloudy skies & rain.  She is a gloomy kind of girl though, so I think she probably doesn't mind her view.
